割不断的民族根 基因里的文化魂——辛格短篇小说《一次演讲》之“回归”主题透视

摘　　要：《一次演讲》由三个片段组成:叙事者"我"演讲之旅的自我放逐状态下的所见、所闻、所感,"我"与老妇人母女车站相遇和老妇人当晚突然死亡。小说从三个层面——"我"在旅途自由状态下民族背弃与回归矛盾交织对抗中民族性的本能回归,民族群体关联影响对回归的制约,民族信仰对回归的牵引——揭示了犹太人的民族身份是其生存之根,犹太精神和文化传统是代代相传的基因,回归犹太民族信仰是其获得灵魂安宁和生存价值的全部意义。The short story The Lecture by I. B. Singer is composed of three parts： what the narrator ＂I＂ sees, hears, and feels on the way to woman and her daughter, and giv the e a lecture in the sate of self-exile, the coincidental meeting with the old event that the old woman died suddenly at the very night. Three aspects are explored accordingly： the narrator ＂I＂ returns to my ethnic by instinct in the sate of being exiled buried in the conflict of betrayal and embrace, the restraint of ethnical association, and the drawing from the ethnical belief. The story embodies the writer＇ s view that the Jewish can find where they belong, and feel peaceful in mind and find the meaning of life by persisting in their Jewish identity and tradition and living by Jewish spirit and cultural tradition.
