摘　　要：生态文明建设作为建设中国特色社会主义的"五位一体"的总布局的重要内容,已然成为我国的执政新理念,而生态民主是实现生态文明所必须的一种制度保障。本文从生态文明理论的发展历程入手,通过总结对比国内外学者的研究成果,阐述生态民主的内涵和意义,提出生态民主是贯彻生态文明建设民主理念的集中体现,呼吁将生态民主纳入生态文明建设的顶层设计之中,调动社会各阶层的力量,充分发挥生态民主的强大整合力和激励作用,推进生态民主的进程,建立和维护生态社会。One of the socialist construction Chinese characteristics of ＂five one＂ general layout of ecological civilization construction, has become a new ruling idea in our country, yet the ecological democracy is a system to ensure the realization of ecological civilization. In this paper, from the development process of the theory of ecological civilization, by summarizing the research results of scholars at home and abroad, this paper expounds the connotation and significance of ecological democracy, puts forward that the ecological democracy is the concentrated re- flection of carrying out the construction of ecological civilization idea of democracy, calls for ecological democracy into the top level design of the construction of ecological civilization, mobilizes all sectors of society strength, gives full play to ecological democracy strong integration and incentive effect, promotes ecological democracy, establishes and maintains the ecological society.
