摘　　要：《威尼斯商人》是最早在中国舞台上演出的莎士比亚戏剧剧目,文章根据报纸资料还原了1937年6月国立剧校的《威尼斯商人》的排演、演出过程。对此次演出过程进行详细梳理,既是对该剧在中国传播情况的一次有意义的考察,又可从中探讨1937年中国话剧舞台演出状况,也可分析出当时莎士比亚戏剧演出和译介的部分情况,具有特殊的话剧史意义和价值。The Merchant of Venice was the first Shakespeare＇s drama performed on China＇s stage. This paper, based on the newspapers reports, reconstructs the process of the rehearsals and the performances of this play by the National Drama School in June, 1937. In this paper, the detailed analysis of the performance pro- gress gives a significant review of this play＇s transmission in China and a presentation of the status of Chinese drama stage in 1937; also, it partly reflects the translation and introduction of Shakespeare＇s dramas in China at that time, which is of special significance in the perspective of Chinese drama history.
