中国英语的本质、根源及发展——基于语言变异理论的解读

摘　　要：语言变异理论基于语言系统异质说,对英语变体的形成具有较强的解释力。如果将世界英语看做是一个有序异质的系统,不同区域所使用的英语都有本土化的异质因素(共核英语除外),当这些异质因素在本土社团中的影响越来越大并开始传播时区域变体就会产生。中国英语就是这样一个典型实例。作为一种英语变体,其语法规范以母语国家的英语语法为标准,擅长表达中国社会特有的经济、文化等概念和事物,在句式和语篇诸多层面受到汉语思维的影响。中国英语是英语全球化与本土化相结合的产物,是社会发展的必然结果。中国英语作为一种新的语言变体,受到学界越来越多的关注,其发展方向对语言学的研究和我国的英语教学都将产生重要的影响。The theory of Language Variation,based on the orderly heterogenic view of language,provides a better explanation of the formation of English varieties.If World Englishes is view ed as an orderly and heterogenic system,the language spoken in different parts of the w orld has its localized heterogeneity except for the core elements of the English language.When these heterogenic elements have an increasingly impact on the local language community and start to spread,regional language varieties emerge.China English is such a case in point.It is a variety of English,adhering to the grammatical norm of inner circle English,aiming at expressing Chinese-specific concepts and entities,strongly influenced by the Chinese w ay of thinking in the syntactic and textual level.China English is the outcome of English globalization and localization,as w ell as the result of social development.It does not only arouse great interest in the academia,but also have implication on both linguistic research and language education.
