摘　　要：海明威在其短篇小说《一个干净、明亮的地方》中,以年长侍者为主线,以年轻侍者和老者为辅线,三维立体映像战后西方社会信仰迷失、道德颓废、伦理丧失的荒原景象,真实地展示作者对战后西方社会的伦理观察和思考,通过树立老年侍者的形象,蕴含了作者在荒原中重树伦理秩序的信念与渴望——努力在虚无世界里为那些黑夜找不到睡眠的迷茫者擎起一盏明灯,维护一个"干净、明亮的地方"。Hemingway in his short story a clean,well -lighted place,taking the old waiter as the main line and the young waiter and the old man as the auxiliary line,reflects a true scene of lost faith,moral decadence and loss of morality in postwar western society,and shows author’s observation and thinking for the western society after the war.Meanwhile,the setting -up of the old waiter’s image contains a belief and desire for the author to rebuild ethical order.
