摘　　要：山西境内煤炭资源丰富,但直到20世纪初,为适应华北港口、新兴城市以及近代工业对于煤炭的强大需求,依靠新兴铁路运输,山西近代煤矿业才开始兴起,近代化进程加快。同时也面临诸多困境,发展颇为艰难,致使山西丰富的煤炭资源未能大规模开采,这不仅影响了山西煤矿业近代化进程,也对山西甚至中国的近代工业化产生了消极作用。There was abundant coal resource in Shanxi. For suit demand of the north china＇s ports, the new cities and the modern industries, the modern coal industries of Shanxi set up late but developed greatly. Due to various reasons, the rich coal resource of Shanxi had not been effectively mining, which not only affeceted the development of the modern coal industries of Shanxi, but also affected the development of the modern industries of China.
