摘　　要：大学校长关于大学服务社会的思想是其办学思想的重要组成部分,也是大学履行社会服务职能、助力国家和社会发展的体现。中国著名大学校长服务社会的理念影响着大学服务社会的实践。在人才服务上,致力于培养与当地经济发展相适应的人才;在科技服务上,强调大学肩负着提供科技服务的使命,承担着科技研发和转移转化的重任;在文化服务方面,主要体现在改良社会文化与风俗、思想与文化引领两个方面。他们的社会服务思想具有服务地方经济发展、肩负中华民族复兴使命与增进人类幸福三个方面的主要特征。The thought that universities should serve the society is an important part of the presidents’ university-running thoughts,and it is also the embodiment of universities’ exercising the social service function and promoting the development of the state and society.Such thought of the presidents from famous university in China has influenced their practice of serving the society.They are dedicated to cultivating talents who adapt to the local economy.They emphasize that universities should shoulder the mission of providing science and technology services,undertake the important task of the research and development of science and technology and its transformation.They focus on improving social culture and customs as well as thought and culture guidance.The main characteristics are：serving local economic development,shouldering the mission of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and furthering human happiness.
