摘　　要：清末留美幼童是中国近代史上最早的官派留学生。这些幼童到达美国后,不但学习实业、外交等知识与技能,而且较早地参与、体验西方近代体育。通过文献资料法、逻辑分析法等方法,对120名幼童留美期间及回国后的体育活动进行分析,探讨留美幼童对中国近代体育发展的影响,为当前体育留学教育、青少年留学生教育及中外体育文化交流提供借鉴。Young children studying in the U. S. in the Late Qing Dynasty was the earliest government-sent students a-broad in modern history of China. After these children ar-rived in the United States,they not only studied industry, diplomacy and other knowledge and skills,but also earlier participated in western Physical activities. By the methods of literature review,logical analysis and so on,the author analyzed the childrens’ sports abroad and after home,and explored these children’s impact on the development of Chinese modern sports. The paper offered reference for the current Chinese overseas sports education, education of teenagers studying abroad and the sports cultural exchan-ges between China and the foreign.
