摘　　要："英美概况"是高等院校英语专业的一门专业必修课。本文主要分析了目前"英美概况"课程的教学现状,结合实践中存在的学生不够重视、教学内容陈旧、教学方法落后等问题,提出教学改革的策略和建议。Survey of Britain and America is an important basic specialized course for English majors in Universities.This thesis mainly analyzes the present teaching situation and existing problems,explores the improving methods of Survey of Britain and America,and then proposes the countermeasures and suggestions combining the teaching practice.
