摘　　要：短篇小说集《英格兰与其他故事》围绕地方与英格兰性的关系这一主题,通过对蕴藏于英格兰地方的暴力创伤历史记忆的书写,解构了英格兰绿色、安宁的"乡村神话"和宏大历史叙事;通过讲述包括少数族裔在内的少数群体地方迁移的故事,用英格兰的差异多元现实解构了同质化的英格兰性。斯威夫特在阈限空间中找到当代英格兰性的典型地理,并用"普遍的人文主义"的文学叙事为英格兰人寻找新的归属感。The collection of short stories England and Other Stories is centered around the theme of place and Englishness.It writes about the traumatic historical memory of violence stored in the English place,so as to deconstruct the green and peaceful English 'rural myth' and the grand historical narrative;it tells stories about displacements of minority groups,including the ethnic minorities,in order to deconstruct the homogeneous Englishness with the different and diverse English reality.Swift finds in the liminal space the typical geography of contemporary Englishness and pursues a new sense of belonging for the English people with literary narratives that convey 'universal humanism'.
