摘　　要：富兰克林的代表作《自传》中所倡导的十三条美德典型地反映了韦伯所描述的资本主义精神;富兰克林伦理品格中的自利、理性和受约束性使他成为亚当·斯密笔下理想的经济人形象,道德和经济行为完美的结合使他迥异于身处资本主义文化矛盾中的"现代经济人"。The quintessential part of Autobiography is when Franklin depicts how he comply with the 13 virtues he composes. These 13 virtues typically explain the spirit of capitalism held by Weber. Franklin＇s deeds of self-interest, ra- tionality and being restrained make him an ideal image of Adam Smith＇s theory of economic man. The perfect combination of his moral sense and economic practice adds a taste of classics to him, which distinguishes him from those modern econom- ic men who are in the cultural contradictions of capitalism.
