毛姆笔下民国时期的小说人物形象——以比较文学的变异学为视角

摘　　要：毛姆的许多作品里都刻画了民国时期中国和中国人的形象,毛姆虽然游历过中国,并且是以冷静、客观的态度观察中国,但是由于文化的"异质"性,毛姆笔下的中国和中国人形象其实已经是发生"变异"的中国和中国人形象,存在着许多的误读和想象。从比较文学变异学角度,将更容易帮助我们理解这种"差异性"。The images of Republic China and Chinese were frequently present in Maugham＇ s works, because Maugham had visi- ted China, and tried to hold an objective attitude toward China. Yet, owing to cultural heterogeneity, his depictive images were often of distorted China and Chinese, with extensive and expensive misinterpretation and misconception. Theory of Variation of comparative literature can well account for this differentiation.
