基于学生角度的中医药院校专业英语教学效果评价与需求调查

摘  要:目的 从学生角度评价天津中医药大学中医学、中药学和公共事业管理(卫生事业管理方向)专业的专业英语教学效果,了解学生的专业英语学习需求,为教学改革提供借鉴.方法 采用自制问卷,对开设专业英语课程的3个专业的187名学生进行问卷调查,并进行统计分析.结果 3个专业的95.0%以上的学生认同专业英语课程的必要性,但对专业英语的重要性认识尚待提高;中医学专业学生的满意度最高,其次为中药学专业,最后为公共事业管理专业(卫生事业管理方向),且各专业学生的满意度相比,差异具有统计学意义;学生在“英汉语言分布”“英语授课比例”“PPT”“学生发言次数”“教材形式”和“口语练习方式”方面的需求较为集中.结论 将专业英语设为必修课程、注意循序渐进使用英文比例、利用网络平台改进和丰富教学资料、改进教学设计提高学生参与度、注意与专业课程相结合等手段,是中医药院校专业英语教学的发展方向.Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of professional English in 3 majors in Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,to learn of students' demand and to propose reference for reform of professional English.Methods Questionnaire investigation was conducted in 3 majors that has completed this course and then statistic analysis was carried out.Results More than 95% students in these 3 majors agree with the necessity of professional English,however the cognition level of importance on it need to be improved;satisfaction of fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine major is the highest,and then is Chinese pharmacy major,the last is health management major,and the difference of the majors is statistically significant;students' demand in distribution of English and Chinese,ratio of English,PPT,speak frequency,textbook and oral English practice is relatively centralized.Conclusions Setting it as compulsory course,using English gradually,applying internet to enrich teaching materials,improving teaching design to enhance students participation and combining with specialized course are the development direction of professional English.
