摘 要:博览会是促进近代商品经济和市场发展的重要形式和途径之一,在近代国际经济和文化交往中发挥了极其重要的作用。以振兴商务为己任的商会参与博览会,经历了一个从被动到主动,从配角到主角的发展过程。晚清商会对近代博览会的参与包括出洋参加国际博览会和在国内举办地方或全国性商品博览会两个方面,其中在1910年首次全国性博览会——南洋劝业会的举办过程中,商会配合官方开展了大量活动,在展品征集、评比的过程中,更是起到了主导性作用,为此次博览会的成功举办做出了重要贡献。The exposition is an important mechanism and means to promote the commodities economy and the market development in the modern era, playing an extremely significant role in the international economic and cultural exchanges. With rejuvenating the commerce as its duty, the chamber of commerce went through a process of transition from a supporting player into a leading one while it changed from a passive participant to an active one. The participation of the chamber of commerce in the late Qing Dynasty included two types: attending the international expositions overseas and hosting the regional or national commodities exhibition. In particular, it played a leading and active role in preparing and hosting China's first national exhibition, i.e., Nanyang Industrial Exposition(1910), making great contributions to its success. In addition, the chamber of commerce also played a vital role in helping the government to host the commodities exhibition in different regions.
