摘　　要：美国作家海明威在其短篇小说《没有斗败的人》中成功地塑造了一个不言放弃的斗牛士曼纽尔的形象。在小说中,海明威主要通过不同场景中的人物对话来推动情节发展,并通过对人物话语表达方式的灵活运用,尤其是自由间接话语和自由直接话语的使用,使主人公曼纽尔的硬汉形象深入人心。In his short story, The Undefeated, American author Ernest Hemingway successfully portrays a matador who never gives up. In the story, the plot is mainly developed through conversations between the characters. And the author Hemingway, through flexibly using different modes of the characters discourse in the text, especially the free indirect discourse and free direct discourse, attempts to impress the readers with the image of a tough guy Manuel.
