摘　　要：翻译等值理论一直是西方翻译界热议的话题。本文对西方翻译等值理论进行了概述,阐释了文化差异与翻译等值的关系,并以汉英文化差异为例,从历史文化差异、传统风俗习惯差异和价值观差异三个层面分析了翻译等值的相对性。The theory on equivalence in translation had been discussed for a long time in westem countries. This thesis outlines western translating theories and clarifies the relationship between cultural difference and equivalence in translation. It also analyzes the relativity of translation from the three aspects of difference in historical culture, traditional customs and concepts of value.
