摘　　要：低视力和失明是两个重要的健康问题和社会经济问题。在发达国家和发展中国家的人口条件下,社会经济地位差异和文化差异对这类疾病的发病率以及分布格局都会产生深度影响。不同年龄人群的视力致残原因也不尽相同,其中大多数是可以预防的。因此,流行病学统计和寻找视力损害的原因是在任何社会都需要关注的问题,该问题通常被认为会直接影响国家的医疗保健计划。笔者分析儿童视觉康复人员的需求现状,针对儿童视觉的发育特点及视力评估和康复的特殊性,阐述建立儿童视觉康复人员专业技能培训管理体系的必要性。Low vision and blindness are increasingly becoming health and socioeconomic problems worldwide. However, the severity of these vision problems varies considerably between the developed and developing countries where the prevalence and distribution of low vision and blindness are affected differently by the socioeconomic and cultural factors. Moreover, the causes of vision problems are not necessarily the same for patients in different age groups within the same country or region. Therefore, it is imperative to characterize the epidemiologic features and identify causes of low vision and blindness in all societies. Similarly, it is important and necessary to enforce the implementation of visual rehabilitation programs in patients with visual disorders. The objective of this article is to assess the current status of visual rehabilitation and discuss the demand for visual rehabilitation personnel in China, with a particular focus on the characteristics of vision problems and rehabilitation in young children .
