摘  要:腺样体和(或)扁桃体肥大是儿童上气道阻塞的主要原因,研究发现不仅腺样体、扁桃体,上气道各个部位阻塞都可能影响儿童呼吸功能继而引起颌面部发育的异常,而阻塞的部位可能与颌面部畸形的类型有一定相关性。Obstructions of the upper airway mainly includes hypertrophied adenoids and/or tonsils. Researches show that obstructions occurred in any part of the upper airway besides adenoids and tonsils, and could influence children's respiratory function, thus would lead to abnormal maxillofacial development. Different types of maxillofacial deformity may be relative to the site of obsta'uctions. This article summarized the different types of maxiUofacial deformity caused by upper airway obstructions at different sites and the proper timing of adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy.
