摘　　要：江南制造局翻译馆的译书活动在近代中外文化交流史上占有重要的地位。翻译馆出版的海防译著,对于促进晚清海防现代化起了重要的推动作用。从出版背景、译著种类、翻译人员和文本选择四个方面来探讨考察翻译馆海防译著的特点及其影响。The translation practices performed by the translation department of Jiangnan manufacturing bureau assumed an important position in Sino-western cultural communications.The coastal defense literary works translated by it had given quite some momentum for the modernization of late-Qing coastal defense.This paper explores the features and impacts of its translated literary works concerning the coastal defense in terms of the publishing background,types of translated works,translators and text selection.
