走出哥特小说的困境——评析《呼啸山庄》的艺术创作路径

摘　　要：从小深受哥特作品的熏陶,艾米莉·勃朗特将哥特小说的主要特征:神秘、恐怖、超自然等要素很好地运用到了其唯一的撼世之作《呼啸山庄》中。凭借自己超乎寻常的想象力和深刻的现实主义描写,女作家创造性地使传统的哥特题材服务于她的目的。她巧妙地把浪漫主义移植到了现实的沃土上,赋予了传统哥特小说一个广阔的新领域和新特色,使得这部维多利亚时代杰出的作品在众多方面都显示出了超前的现代性,从而为哥特小说开拓了新的发展方向。Brought up under the influence of the Gothic novel, Emily Bronte implements fairly well the main characteristics of the Gothic novel, i.e. mystery, horror and supernatural, etc., in her masterpiece Wuthering Heights. With her extraordinary imagination and realistic description, she creatively makes the Gothic elements serve her aim. She transplants romanticism to the rich realistic soil to make her novel more modernistic to open a new field and a new direction for the Gothic novel with new features.
