摘　　要：契丹与奚在唐代被称为两蕃,两蕃对于辽西地区的历史文明进程产生过重要影响。两者具有相同或相似的族源、驻牧范围、生业方式、文化习俗、民族关系,尤其在族源认同上及其与中原王朝及周边民族政权的关系中,两者具有共同的族源记忆和文化认同。故本文将两蕃界定为一个文化共同体,从考古学文化的角度,对两蕃的遗存进行考察与研究,并对唐代两蕃的驻牧范围、墓葬分期与分区、早期墓葬制度、文化交流及其生业方式与生态环境变迁之间的关系等问题的研究提出自己的看法。Khitan and Xi were known as a whole in the Tang Dynasty and had an important impact on the history of civilization in the West Liaohe River Basin.They have the common ethnic identity and the common living areas,and the same or similar way of profession and cultural customs and relationship with neighboring central plain kingdoms.Khitan and Xi are defined as a cultural community in this article.From the angle of the whole,this article will study the relevant archaeological discoveries of Khitan and Xi comprehensively,and will conduct research on the scope of the herd,the staging and zoning of the tombs,the early funeral system,cultural exchange,economic forms and change of ecological environment.
