摘　　要：著名哲学家艾伦·布鲁姆的著作《走向封闭的美国精神》面世不久便引发强烈反响,笔者以该书作为研究素材阐述了著作问世的主要哲学根源——虚无主义影响下的大学危机,论述了布鲁姆视阈下大学功用观。布鲁姆对高等教育路径给出中肯建议,他认为完美人性始于大学,但现实的高校课程体系存在诸多问题,阻碍人性改良,难以实现自由教育,因此他倡导阅读经典,培养民主社会的精英,实现大学的理性价值。反观中国,高等教育同样经历着类似的危机,布鲁姆的教育观为中国的大学教育提供了有效参考。Allan Bloom was a famous philosopher. His book ＂The Closing of the American Mind＂triggered a strong reaction in America,we take this book as research material and regard philosophy nihilism as origin of the crisis of University,and discuss the function of University under the view of Bloom. Bloom offered advice to the path of higher education,he believed that the perfect humanity is cultivated in University,but there were many problems in the curriculum system in Colleges and universities,which hindered the improvement of humanity so that is difficult to achieve the liberal education. He advocated to read classics and develop elites serving democratic society therefore realized the rational value of the university. In contrast,Chinese higher education also experienced a similar crisis,Bloom＇s view of education provided effective reference for china.
