摘  要:长期以来理论界都认为是新历史主义终结了新批评的统治地位,但实际上两者的关系需要进一步厘清,新历史主义在完成对新批评的继承之后,对新批评有重要的发明。这种关系具体表现为:新批评在普遍人性论的主体观基础上主张文本中心式批评,使用细读工具分析文学小文本。而新历史主义承认主体能动性的同时通过"自我塑型"、"戏剧性"等常用范式凸显语言文本对主体的影响。新历史主义还扩展了新批评的文本观,变文学小文本为文化大文本,利用细读工具加以分析挖掘,实现了对后者的超越。For a long time,it is generally admitted in the western literary arena that New Historicism has terminated the dominant position of New Criticism,while in fact the relation between them is extremely complicated.New Historicism has been deeply influenced by New Criticism,while providing creative ideas for its development.This kind of relation can be clearly illustrated like this:New criticism is in favor of text-centered criticism on the basis of the Subjective Initiative of the General Humanism by using"close reading"to analyze the text.However,New Historicism admits the Subjective Initiative meanwhile emphasizing the influence of the text on the subject by way of "self-formation"and "theatricality"such commonly used paradigms.New Historicism has developed the view of text of New Criticism by using"close reading"as a tool to analyze the open text and reveal the hidden ideology and therefore has transcended New Criticism.
