摘　　要：英国汉学家哈罗德·阿克顿爵士(Sir Harold Mario Mitchell Acton CBE)的《牡丹与马驹》(Peonies and Ponies)以跨文化的视角,将以西方文化为代表的异质文化为隐性标杆,名为仰慕中国,实以异质文化为他者之镜,探析两种文明邂逅下的文化碰撞与交融,以汲其成果为异质文化所用。这种拾取的目光,是既诞于自体文化模子,又衍生于相宜环境中的"爱美家"的文化追索。Until now,little focus is paid to the British Sinologist Sir Harold Acton’s（ Sir Harold Mario Mitchell Acton CBE） novel Peonies and Ponies in domestic academic criticism. As a British literary work which was born in the beginning of the twentieth century,this novel aimed at reduction the historical facts of Chinese and western cultural communication. It’s in a cross- cultural perspective and also on the basis of western culture to the final study of cultural collision. Admiring China,Acton probed the culture collision and blending of the two kinds of civilization by heterogeneous culture. It’s from the nature of the self,and caterred to the corresponding cultural background. The essay is to reveal the underlying work of the anaesthete complex.
