英语笑话的歧义分析

摘　　要：歧义在正常交际中可被视为交际的障碍,然而运用到笑话中却能产生幽默诙谐的效果。本文根据触发歧义的语言层次,试从语音歧义,词汇歧义和句法歧义三方面理解和欣赏英语笑话,表明歧义机制是建构幽默的重要手段,通过分析歧义能有效解读幽默。The linguistic ambiguity, which can be taken as a communication barrier in actual exchanges, is often employed in the realization of jokes to display humorous effect. This paper tentatively explores the inference and appreciation of English jokes from three perspectives, including phonological ambiguity, lexical ambiguity and syntactic ambiguity to illuminate the fact that linguistic ambiguity is an important mechanism for the birth of humors and that humor can be understood effectively with the help of the analysis of ambiguity.
