对外汉语教学基础教材中词语的英文释义——以《长城汉语·生存交际1》为例

摘　　要：对外汉语教学基础教材一般采用某种媒介语释义。释义应注意准确性和完整性。《长城汉语·生存交际1》中有一些词语释义不太恰当,究其原因,有的是只追求一对一的以词释词,有的对多义词的释义不够明确,有的释义不够完整,另外,对兼类词的释义和列出的词性也有不一致之处。对外汉语教材中生词的英文释义要结合词语出现的语境,体现出词语的意义、用法及其文化内涵。Some sort of media language is often used in paraphrasing words and phrases in the basic textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language. In the explanation, accuracy and completeness should be paid attention to. There are some inappropriate explanations in Great Wall Chinese/Essentials in Communication 1. Some are only translated word for word; some paraphrases of polysemous words are inaccurate; some are incomplete. And there exists inconstancy between the explanation of the words having two or more parts of speech and the word class. In the textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language, the meaning, usage and culture connotation of words and phrases should be given according to the context.
