摘　　要：学术英语是专门用途英语的重要分支。与衡量学生英语水平进步的通用英语测试不同,学术英语测试是以满足专业学习和工作的需求为驱动的。比较专门学术英语测试,通用学术英语更为流行,它从语言能力、学术技能和学术素养三个维度构成评估和测试的内容,既注重学生的语言基本功的训练,又起到了培养学生跨学科的、用英语进行学习和工作的学术技能的作用。通用学术英语评估系统是基于需求分析的,可以建立以项目研究为核心的形成性评估和以综合考察为核心的终结性评估。EAP is one of the important branches of ESP, Its tests are driven by the needs to use English in students＇ academic studies and in their future careers as opposed to General English tests which are driv- en by learning languages. Compared with ESAP tests, the EGAP test gains more popularity because it measures the test takers＇ academic skills and literacy as well as language abilities. It contributes to the promotion of the students across disciplines to use English in their academic studies and in their future work.
