摘 要:作为学术英语课程建设在西南地区的"试水者",云南大学从2013年起开设了通用学术英语课程。此门课程的设置符合学校建设、课程体系改革以及学生的实际需要。从教学对象和教学内容的选定、教材和教学方法的采纳、到考核评估等各个环节,我们结合问卷调查及访谈结果,对课程效果进行了客观地分析总结,并提出了下一步"学术英语"课程建设的期望和反思。Yunnan University, a key university in Southwestern China, introduced the EGAP courses into the school curriculum in 2013. This act was to "test the water" of EAP courses in the hope of constructing a more appropriate curriculum for the non-English majors. It was in response to the blueprint of Yunnan University and echoed with the national college English teaching reform on curriculum provision. Most important of all, it put emphasis on the actual needs of the students. This paper presents an analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of EGAP courses in Yunnan University based on the results of the questionnaires and interviews done among teachers and students who have experience in the practice of the EGAP courses. The discussion includes aspects such as choosing suitable students, teaching contents, teaching methods, and ways of grading and evaluation. Reflections on the practice of the EGAP courses in Yunnan University are provided and suggestions for future studies are put forward.
