双重人格的双面人生——从心理分析角度解读《渴望》

摘　　要：回顾了双重人格在英语文学中的发展历史,指出美籍华裔女作家张岚的中篇小说《渴望》中的移民夫妇表现出渴望与冷漠、外表平静与内心动荡的双重性格。从心理分析角度分析了主人公双重人格的种种表现形式及其如何区别于其他亚裔移民小说中令人厌恶、憎恨的亚裔身份,具有动态、多样的特点,强调双重人格的极端表现反映了社会矛盾,强化了小说的戏剧性冲突。After a review of the topic of the double in English literature, this paper points out that the immigrant couple in Chinese American woman writer Lan Samantha Chang＇s novella Hunger show their double personality of eagerness and indifference, calm and turbulence. From a psychoanalytical perspective, the paper distinguishes various forms of the double in the novella from the prevalent double images in other Asian American works. With dynamics and varieties, the double reflects social conflicts and intensifies the dramatic effects of the novella.
