企业寻租存在餍足点吗?

摘　　要：采用世界银行与国家统计局于2005年对中国企业联合进行的调查数据,对企业绩效与寻租花费间的关系进行实证考查。与已有文献的线性回归不同,研究以企业寻租花费餍足点存在为前提假设,以二次项回归为基础,同时,运用普通最小二乘法和三阶段最小二乘法估计了寻租对绩效的影响以及寻租花费的决定因素。研究发现,企业绩效与寻租花费间具有显著的倒U型曲线关系,这证明了餍足点在企业寻租花费中的现实存在。同时,企业的绩效水平对寻租花费具有正向影响,而企业所拥有的政治力量对寻租花费具有负向影响,这证实了现有文献中关于企业支付能力和拒绝力量与寻租水平关系方面的理论假说。Bu using the Investment Climate Survey conducted by the National Bureau Statis- tics of China and World Bank jointly in 2005, the paper studies the relationship between corporate performance and the cost of rent - seeking. Different form the linear regression of existing litera- tures, this paper takes the existence of the satiation point in rent - seeking of firms as the premise hypothesis. Based on quadratic term regression, the authors estimate the influence of rent - see- king on performance and the determinants of rent - seeking costs by using the least squares method and the three - stage least squares method. The authors find out that there is a significant inverted U- shaped curve relationship between corporate performance and rent- seeking cost, which proves the existence of satiation point in rent - seeking of firms. Meanwhile, the level of corporate performance has a positive impact on the cost of rent - seeking, while the political power of com- panies have negative effect on rent - seeking has a negative effect, which confirm the theoretical hypothesis on the relationships between payment ability, power to refuse and rent - seeking level .
