摘　　要：屯城是两汉经略西域的重要军事据点,在两汉不同时期,随着中原王朝西域战略的变化,西域屯城布局也随之相应变化。西汉西域屯城主要布局于天山南麓的轮台、渠犁、焉耆、龟兹、伊循、楼兰及靠近匈奴的车师前国;东汉则侧重于伊吾、柳中、高昌、楼兰等汉匈对峙的前沿地域,以及汉匈对峙外缘的昆仑山南麓疏勒、于阗、精绝等地,从而使两汉的屯城布局由最初在天山南麓、东麓重要区域的点状、线状布局,进而呈现出在环塔里木盆地周缘环状布局的态势,一定程度上体现了两汉治理西域的策略,经历了一个从初始探索到逐渐成熟的历史进程。The defense cities were major military installations in the process of the implementation of the Western Regions＇ s straegy. And the layout of them changed in different stages of strategy. As a whole, the defense cities of the weatern Han dynasty distributed Yabqi, Luntai, where the na- ture condition was favorable along the southern foot of Tianshan mountain. And they expanded gradully to the Gushi＇ s distract near to Huns. Besides the southern foot of Tianshan mountains, de- fense cities of the eastern Han dynasty layouted two areas. Loulan , Gushi near to Huns; the western of Tayim Basin and Kashqar, Rauia which was in the southern of it. The layout of defense cities of the Han dynasty feflected the center＇ s character of the Han dynasty＇ s mangement, which developed in depth and breadth from the southern foot of Tianshan mountains to the Turpan basin and the northern of Kunlun mountains.
