摘　　要：早在精神分析作为现代的精神医学——心理学诞生以前很久,文学艺术作为个体和社会的诊疗途径便一直发挥着作用。面对现代性的个体心灵危机与社会冲突,文化的诊断与治疗功能日益凸显。在此方面,"新时代运动"引入文化他者作为西方社会的治疗秘方,形成当代治疗实践的典范。Literature had been used as a means of therapy both individually and socially long before the birth of modem psychology with its psychological analysis. Owing to the individual psychological crisis and social conflicts of contemporary world, literature＇s func- tion of diagnosis and treatment is increasingly important. ＂ New Era Movement＂ introducing other cultures to be therapy for the west society sets an example for contempo- rary therapy practice.
