从真、假“息夫人”看中国古代妇女节烈观的严酷化

摘　　要：息夫人是春秋前期一位真实的历史人物,其事迹散见于众多史料之中。楚国灭息国后,息夫人为楚王所掳并被立为夫人,虽生下两位王子,却以自己"事二夫"为耻,从不主动说话。然而,这位根本无法左右自己命运的柔弱女性,却受到历代文学家、史学家、经学家越趋严酷的挞伐。不过另一方面,汉代刘向在《列女传》中公然改变史实,将息夫人伪造成中国古代妇女"节烈"的"标兵"大肆宣扬,理学兴起后,这个假"息夫人"逐渐由官方推介到民间,以假乱真。历史上这种真、假"息夫人"并存的格局和现象,呈现出中国古代妇女节烈观严酷化的复杂脉络。Mrs. Xi,who lived in the early Chunqiu Dynasty,was a real woman in Chinese history. Her stories were separately collected in many different historical records. After Chu conquered Xi,Mrs. Xi was captured and nominated as the queen by the king of Chu. Although she gave birth to two princes for the king,she still remained silence in the royal family because she was shame of marrying two different men. However,in the history record of Biographies of Exemplary Women in Han dynasty,the author Liu Xiang fabricated a story of fake Mrs.Xi and widely propagated it as an example of the ancient Chinese women's chastity view. After the Neo-Confucianism theory has been established,the fake Mrs. Xi was not only known by the literati,but also even introduced to all the society. The existence of the real Mrs. Xi and the fake Mrs. Xi in history presented complicated venation of grimness of the ancient Chinese women's chastity view.
