摘　　要：应用型转型是我国地方本科院校发展的出路所在。大学英语作为我国高等教育的有机组成部分,在当前我国高等教育国际化和大众化背景下,把通用英语和专用英语相结合,提高大学英语教学中英语语言的工具性能力要求和人文性培养水平,不仅可满足国际人才市场对多样性人才培养的需求,也是新形势下我国高等教育发展的重要推手。Transition to applied science is one way for the development of local universities in China. Confronted with the internationalization and the popularization of high education in China,as an organic part of Chinese high education,college English is bound to include both EGP and EOP to improve its instrumentality and humanity in college English teaching. Only in this way can college English teaching meet the standard required for the different kinds of talented people in the world market and facilitate the development of high education under the new circumstance.
