摘　　要：近年来，一种名为“沙弗莱”（Tsavorite）的绿色宝石成为珠宝市场上的新星。部分e-者曾对来自东非及其他部分产地沙弗莱的宝石矿物学和地球化学特征进行了总结，但中国市场对其发现及价格仍然相当有限。本文追溯了沙弗莱的发现过程，对其中文译名进行了梳理分析，综述了其成因和产地来源的最新研究进展．在此基础上．对沙弗莱及部分近似绿色宝石的国内外市场现状进行了多方位的分析比较，并探讨了开发前景。结果显示．自1974年推出至今，沙弗莱国际市场价格普遍上涨了5-10倍，其国内市场价值发现虽相对较晚，但最近几年已呈现出明显的补涨行情，2008到2013年市场价格也上升了2-3倍。不同销售渠道以及不同地区的沙弗莱价格存在明显差别，显示不同区域市场对沙弗莱的价值认知仍存在差异。沙弗菜以其独特的颜色外观、良好的物理性质及稀有性，开始在国内外市场逐步确立其高端绿色宝石的形象，其价格已达到中高端宝石的水平。随着科学研究的深入及该宝石产量的提升，其关注度和接受度还会大幅上升，将会在国内外市场上成为高端绿色宝石的“中坚力量”。Recent years, a green gem named Tsavorite became a new star in gem market. It can compare with emerald in colour, lustre, clarity and durability, but its production is far less than that of emerald. It is thus widely concerned and is called ＂a gem rarer than emerald＂. Some current researches on vanadian-chromian grossulars （Tsavorite） from East Africa and other origins for their mineralogical and geochemical characteristics have been presented. However, the perception on its discovery and price variability on the market are rather limited. This paper summarized the discovery of Tsavorite, analyzed its Chinese translation nomenclature, and reviewed lhemost recent studies on its genesis and origin. On these bases,the authors made multifaceted comparison on Tsavorite with other similar green gemstones for their situations in domestic as well as overseas markets, and explored its developing pros pects. The authors think that the history of Tsavorite is short, but the speed of its development is fast. Since its debut to world market in 1974, the international market prices of Tsa vorite generally rose by 5 to 10 times. Especially over the past ten years, the price of Tsavorite has risen steadily. And after 2014, the rising trend has significantly accelerated. In domestic market, its value appreciation is relatively late, but in recent years it has showed obvious upward trend. From 2008 to 2013, its market price rose up to 200%--300%. The price of Tsavorite per carat varies remarkably with its weight and quality grade, sales chan nel and market region, which shows that the recognition on the value of Tsavorite in differ- ent regional market varies. Comparing with other green gems, Tsavorite has preliminarily formed its high-end green gem image in the market with its unique colour, favorable physical properties, and excellent durability. And no matter in the foreign market or domestic mar ket, the price of Tsavorite has reached the level of middle or high-end gem and its future is promising. Especially, the valu
