摘　　要：中国自古就有“乐善好施、仁爱奉献”的美德，为慈善事业的发展奠定了深厚的文化基础。儒家对桑梓的热爱，“以不忍人之心行不忍人之政”，“老吾老以及人之老，幼吾幼以及人之幼”的重仁义、行仁政思想，以及佛教“普渡众生”，做善事可求得善报的思想观念，以及早期慈善人士对于流离失散、孤苦无援的百姓积极救助，这些是中国公益事业得以发展的文化原因。而当前，国际公益事业的发展创新出公益创投这一模式。China is a country who has a 5000 year history of giving, and mutual support in terms of Philanthropy. At present, a new model of Philanthropy__ Venture Philanthropy has emerged and developed from across the world. So what is Venture Philanthropy？ What is the operating pattern, and how these might be adapted to suit the context of China. With high awareness of new Philanthropic models, the reporter of International Financing Magazine interviewed Mr. Andrew Muirhead, Executive vice president of Asian Venture Philanthropy Network.
