摘 要:跨文化教学日益受到外语教育界的重视,被认为是外语教学密不可分的一部分。然而跨文化教学通常以文化知识灌输为主,对跨文化意识培养重视不足。文章首先提出"重知识输入、轻跨文化意识培养"的弊端,并总结培养学生跨文化意识需具备的能力。进而在英语课堂的实践中,笔者以CBI(Content-based Instruction)教学理念为理论依托来指导"社会热点"讨论活动,用以探讨研究CBI教学理念对跨文化意识培养的作用和意义,为跨文化教学提供独特的理论实践视角。ICC(Intercultural Communicative Competence)has long been recognized as important and indispensible to English language education.Nevertheless,the current situation of ICC education simply centralizes on culture knowledge input and overlooks the equally important intercultural awareness.In this article,the author elaborates on students' ineffective learning outcome in this imbalanced situation and discusses the significance of nurturing students' three prerequisite capacities.CBI(Content-based Instruction)—an optimized English language teaching theory has provided a unique theoretical and practical lenses to further an investigation on nurturing these capacities.Through"Hot topic"classroom discussion,the author explores the in-depth effectiveness of CBI-oriented intercultural awareness cultivation.
