摘 要:常道直是我国近现代著名的比较教育学家,教育制度研究是其最着力的研究领域之一。留学期间,他对西方教育制度进行了深入、系统地考察,认识到"制度为民族、时代意志的体现",并在此原则下指导写作。在制度研究方面,他强调理性主义研究范式对各国教育制度的国别比较与理性分析;在教育实践领域,他遵循实事求是的原则,谋求中国学制合理化。他还秉持"制度为贯彻理想的工具"的理念,对教育制度功用作了辨证阐发与整体把握。Chang Daozhi, a renowned comparative educators in modern China, was devoted to systematic educational research. During his study abroad, he conducted an overall study of the western educational system, realizing that the "system is the embodiment of the nation and the will of the times". In the aspect of institutional research, he stressed the rationalist paradigm used in the comparison and analysis of educational systems of varied nations. On the educational practice, he followed the principle to seek truth from facts and rationalize the Chinese schooling system. And he also upheld the concept of "system as a tool for the realization of ideals" to dialectically expound on the functions of the educational system.
