摘　　要：关于戏曲的起源,众说纷纭,其中最具影响力者乃歌舞说。然而,此说不实。本文以古汉字中"戏""剧"二字为据,以训诂、考释之方法,对此问题重做解析,希冀能还戏曲起源之本来面目。Opinions about the origin of Chinese operas vary, the most powerful one of which is that it originates from ancient music and dance. However, this is not true. Based on the words of ＂xi＂ and ＂ju＂ in the ancient Chinese, this paper applies the methodology of gloss explanations and textu- al criticisms and makes a new interpretation of the issue in order to restore the truth of operas＇ origin.
