摘　　要：文化自觉是立足文化传统进行文化的传承与创新。方东美作为现代新儒家的重要代表人物,是一位充满文化自觉意识的学贯中西的学者。他的文化自觉意识一则表现为以英文传播中国哲学,二则表现为从生命哲学的视角阐扬中国哲学。他将生命哲学的观念贯穿到探寻中国文化的源头、分析中国哲学的发展历程、揭示中国哲学的特质和规划中国哲学的未来发展等一系列研究中。方东美的理论探索是当下中国文化转型与发展的重要理论资源。Cultural awareness is based on the traditional culture of heritage and innovation. Fang Dongmei, as an important representative of the modern Neo-Confucianism, is a scholar of full cultural consciousness, who was very familiar with Eastern and Western philosophy. His cultural consciousness, on the one hand is the spread of Chinese philosophy in English, on the other hand is interpretation of Chinese philosophy from the perspective of life philosophy. His philosophy of life goes throughout exploring the source of Chinese culture, analyzing its development process, exposing its nature and planning its future development. The present study on Fang Dongmei is an important theoretical resource transformation and development of Chinese culture.
