摘　　要：应用型外语人才的培养必须立足于区域经济发展的需要。地方高校应结合区域经济发展的特点,从课程设置、专业学习、人才培养、师资培训等方面入手,调整并制定相应的学校体制和标准,使ESP人才的培养更具针对性,从而促进区域经济的快速发展。Training of ESP personnel at tertiary level should be based on the demands of local economy development. Therefore, local colleges should consider the characteristics of the local economic development when making training programmes. The educational system and standard should be adjusted according to curriculum setting, majors and the training of ESP personnel as well as that of the faculty to speed up the development of local economy.
