摘　　要：高级英语课程是针对英语专业高年级学生开设的技能课,其教学中的文学、文化教育之首要意义在于促进学生语言技能的发展。高校高级英语课程教师应利用宝贵、有效的课堂教学时间,努力优化课堂教学结构,切实提高学生的文化素养,发展学习者的创造潜力,从而实现其英语学习质的飞跃。然而,高等师范院校的高级英语课堂教学现状并不容乐观,如何提高师范生文化素养,优化高级英语课堂教学亟待探索。Advanced English is a skill course for senior majors to train their skills. The primary significance of literature and culture teaching in Advanced English is to promote the development of students' linguistic competence. Teachers of Advanced English should make good use of classroom teaching and optimize its structure to improve students' cultural quality,develop their creative potentials and promote their English. However,the current situation of classroom teaching of Advanced English in normal universities is not optimistic. It's very urgent to solve the problems of improving normal students' cultural quality and optimizing classroom teaching of Advanced English.
