摘 要:The democratization attempts over the history of education in Brazil brought forward the efforts to make increasingly accessible knowledge to regions without colleges or universities. This is now possible by the democratization of the media, in special Internet. Distance education (DE) is a teaching modality characterized by teacher and student being in physically distant locations. In this sense, one should not overlook the fact that the elaboration of a program or course in DE demands several tasks and there is no single solution or module to solve all problems found in the different institutions. The authors discuss planning and pedagogical evaluation of DE actions developed by the coordination of the course in Public Administration, Department of General and Applied Administration (DAGA), Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. The study demonstrated that DE requires a collective effort by all stakeholders so that one can structure a pedagogical project to meet the students' demands. At the same time, it is necessary to institutionalize the methodology guiding the necessary teaching activities.
