摘　　要：结合笔者从事多年的讲授实践与探索,此文对玉溪师范学院专业英语和双语课程开设状况从多个方面展开了必要而深入的调查与思考,发现本校14个专业学院中现仅有五个院系开设了ESP相关课程,在教学安排、课程归属、师资配备和教材选用等方面还面临着不少困难和不足之处,整体建设不容乐观,目前尚处在成长期,但其前景必将是光明的。Combined with the teaching practice and exploration for many years, a necessary ＆amp; in-depth survey and reflection for the teaching status of subject-based English and bilingual courses in Yuxi Normal College was discussed from many respects. It was found that among 14 specialized institutes of this college there were now only five ones that had opened ESP-related courses, but they still faced many difficulties and shortcomings in teaching arrangement, course schedule, teaching staff and textbook selection, the overall construction was not optimistic, at present still in the growth period, but its prospects will be bright.
