摘　　要：商务英语一直以简洁、准确和清晰为主要特征,但是模糊语言会经常出现在各种商务文体和商务活动中。语言学家在过去的几十年里对英语中的模糊语言现象研究发现,人们使用模糊语言既有其心理需要和语用需要,也有和语言的语义本身具有模糊性的本质有关。文章首先简要介绍了商务英语中的模糊语言的特性,接着分别从模糊语言的心理学视角、语义学视角和语用学视角展开论述,最后结合案例分析了商务英语中模糊语言的主要功能。通过对商务英语中模糊语言的语用分析,商务人士能够更系统化地理解模糊语言的特性和功能,能够在商务活动中发挥模糊语言的积极作用,实现商务互动的目的。Business English has been characterized by conciseness, accuracy and clearness, but vague language will often appear in a variety of business style and business activities. Linguists in the past few decades have found a phenomenon based on vague language that the vague language are used for both people＇s psychological needs and the pragmatic needs, and there are also the semantic ambiguity of language itself in nature The article first introduces the characteristics of vague language of Business English,and then explores the vague language from the psychological perspective, the semantic perspective and pragmatic perspective. Finally,it analyzes the main functions of vague language in business English with case studies. With the vague language pragmatic analysis in Business English language, business people can systematically understand the characteristics and functions of vague language and they can play a positive role of vague language in business activities and achieve the purpose of business interaction.
