摘　　要：本文借鉴人类学和社会学的观察视角,对在文化全球化背景下孕育产生的"新时代宗教运动"这一在北美影响深远的信仰实践模式进行初步探讨。通过汲取田野洞见,本文力求展示:在多元文化的相融和借鉴过程中,源于非西方文明社会的信仰传统已经成为新时代宗教信徒取之不尽的资源和后现代条件下宗教文化互动的媒介,为其应对现代性的挑战提供了丰富的精神养料。采用多学科交叉的方法对新宗教运动这一案例认真思考和解析,将有助于我们在研究全球化时代多元信仰实践时清醒地认识到突破文本局限的必要性。对于新时代宗教的田野实证考察,有利于学者在认识论和方法论上修正陈旧过时的宗教观,更好地因应"大国崛起"语境中文化信仰生活领域出现的复杂变化。This paper examines the emergence of ＂New Age Movement＂as an influential religious movement in the context of cultural globalization from an anthropological and sociological perspective. Guided by the ethnographic insight,this papers attempts to show that New Agers were fully capable of seeking inspiration from belief systems of no- western roots which became their spiritual source in the process of cultural diffusion and borrowing. This paper insists that interdisciplinary approach would enable researchers to go beyond textual representations while contemplating on the impact of New Age Movement on everyday social life. An ethnographic inquiry into the actual practices of New Age Religion will point to the importance of blurring the dichotomy between religion and superstition so that we are well positioned to confront with challenges of religious pluralism in the context of China＇s rise.
