摘　　要：理性在当代遭遇了严厉的批判,并由此发生了一系列演变。但无论是基于中国的历史传统,还是面对当代多元主义的现实,理性沟通都必不可少。关于说理之本性,有两种最基本的理解,即积极说理与申辩,但二者在根本上并不矛盾。说理的目的并不一定是共识的达成,更重要的是在于理解。公共说理或许并不能直接解决某一具体或所有问题,但仍是绝对重要且值得为之辩护的。Reason has been severely criticized in the present situation,and has been made a series of changes.But whether on the basis of the historical tradition in China,or in face of the reality of contemporary pluralism,rational communication are essential.On the nature of reasoning,there are two of the most basic understandings,positive reasoning and defense,but the two are not contradictory in essence.The purpose of reasoning is not necessarily a consensus,but more importantly is to understand.Public reasoning may not solve a specific problem directly,but it is important and worth to defend.
