摘　　要：达旨术是严译《天演论》的成功秘诀,百十年来逐步得到学界认可和深入研究,"达"字将严复"信达雅"与"达旨术"贯穿在一起,"达"成严译思想的灵魂。将达旨术提升到变译规律层面研究,可知严复是变译大师,严译属文化之译。由严译八大达旨术产生变译规律,进而产生了变译理论,这是严复变译思想的历史性贡献。Adaptation techniques,as the most important key to the success of Yan Fu's translation of Evolution and Ethics,have received gradual recognition and in-depth study in the Chinese academic circle over the past 100 years.'Adaptation'connects his three-character translation principle of faithfulness,expressiveness and elegance with his adaptation techniques,thus being the core of his translation thoughts. It can be concluded,by boosting his adaptation techniques to the level of rules of translation variation,that Yan Fu is a master of conducting translation variation,a culture-oriented practice. The eight adaptation techniques adopted by Yan Fu initiate a series of studies on the rules of translation variation,which give birth to theory of translation variation. Therefore,adaptation techniques are the historic contribution to his thoughts of translation variation.
