摘　　要：中国大学的文化传承创新需要以大学文化的传承创新为基础,着眼于中国社会文化发展的现实情态,古为今用,洋为中用,以无限包容开放的态度和严谨的科学精神,吸收古今中外一切优秀的文化因素并予以融合创造,在大学的职能和使命中实现人文文化、科学文化和服务文化的传承创新,并大力弘扬和发展社会主义文明,为建立有机统一的中华民族文化、为人类整体文明的进步与发展做出应有的贡献。Cultural inheritance and innovation in China＇s universities should be based on the inheritance and innovation of the university, and should take in view the current situation of the development of the contemporary Chinese society and culture, as well as learn from historical and from foreign experiences. In other words, the Chinese universities should benefit from excellent cultural achievements of all times and in all countries with an open mind and the rigorous scientific spirit. By means of learning and creating, they should achieve the inheritance and innovation in humanity, science and service and in performing of the function and mission of the university, they should carry forward and develop socialist civilization, contribute to the development of the national spirit and to the whole world civilization.
