摘　　要：我国大学英语教学中普遍存在着一个问题,即母语文化缺失。教师在传授英语语言技能的同时也传播西方文化,而对中国传统文化很少涉及。本文论述了大学英语教学中母语文化缺失的现状,呼吁我国大学英语教学应担负传播中国传统文化的重要任务,从而顺利进行中西方文化交流。The problem of the absence of Chinese Culture in college English education always exists. Teachers teach English language skills and Western culture, but rarely introduce Chinese culture. This article discusses the current situation of the absence of Chinese culture and urges that English teachers undertake the important task of introducing traditional Chinese culture and achieving successful intercultural communication.
